Trienekens Hosts Community Outreach Programme With Kampung Seratau

KUCHING: Trienekens recently hosted a work party (or ‘gotong-royong’) session with Kampung Seratau’s residents at the village’s community hall. The half-day event included cleaning and repair works within and around the area, as well as improving the condition of the village’s welcome monument, and an extension of the community hall’s roof.

In his welcoming address, Trienekens’ Senior Manager for Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Harris Michael ak Deho commended the close relationship between Trienekens and Kampung Seratau, adding his assurance that the company would continue to work with the community as a long-term effort to strengthen community ties, besides improving the village’s public facilities through best practices of environmental and health protection. Harris also expressed his hope that with improved facilities, the community would strive to preserve the cleanliness of their neighbourhood.

Village Head Lambert ak Anthony thanked the company for their past and present support and he also hoped that the good relations between the two parties would continue to prosper over the coming years. Also present were the company’s General Manager of Business Development, Elvin Wee; and Mambong community leader Penghulu John Jentor.

The programme was part of Trienekens’ CSR initiatives developed to uplift and strengthen the communities it serves. The company also actively initiates and participates in programmes that promote cleanliness and environmental awareness, besides fostering a sense of care and responsibility among its employees towards the community.
