After several weeks of affected waste collection services following quarantine orders and movement restrictions of its employees, Trienekens (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd today announced that all waste collection services that were earlier affected under the municipalities of The Commission Of The City Of Kuching North (DBKU), Kuching South City Council (MBKS) and Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) would return to normal effective 5 July 2021 (Monday).
On 16 June, the company had issued a public notice informing affected residents of a temporary once (instead of the normal twice) a week collection schedule. As Trienekens’ team members were gradually released from quarantine and operations stabilised, the company issued another notice on 23 June on the partial resumption of twice-a-week collection for certain areas.
During the temporary once a week collection period, Trienekens had also placed Roll-on Roll-off (RoRo) containers throughout the city in designated areas to facilitate household waste disposal from the public. As service returns to normal, the RoRo containers will be removed according to the following dates:
03 July 2021 – Removal of RoRo containers at DBKU’s Lorong Datuk Ajibah Abol 21 and MPP’s Balai Raya Desa Wira, Lorong 20, Taman Desa Wira as well as Jalan Kampung Segedup.
08 July 2021 – Removal of RoRo containers at DBKU’s Bandar Baru Semariang Commercial Area and Sungai Maong Market Bin Centre; MBKS’s Lorong Sim Kheng Hong 5, Lorong Song 3G , Hui Sing Commercial Area and Tabuan Laru Recycling Centre; and MPP’s Kampung Paroh, Jalan Sejijak and Lorong 7, Jalan Belatok, Taman Malihah.
The company thanked the public for their kind understanding and patience over the last few weeks of service disruptions.
