Trienekens (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd, the operating company of Sarawak’s Integrated Waste Management System (IWMS), is proud to announce that it has recently won the prestigious Prime Minister’s Hibiscus Award (PMHA) for Exceptional Achievement in Environmental Performance for 2021–2022.

Trienekens Group Chief Executive Officer, Stephen Chin, said that receiving the country’s top sustainability award is a great honour as it testifies the company’s strong commitment and steadfast journey towards building sustainability into its business set-up, strategy, operations and facilities.

This recognition is a great achievement for us as we strive to go above and beyond our role as an integrated waste and environmental management service provider,” said Chin. “It signified our continuous efforts not only to mitigate our operational footprint by incorporating sustainability into our work culture and practices; but also extending the initiatives externally through close collaborations with other stakeholders as well so that we can enable sustainability together in all aspects of our lives.”

Chin also attributed the company’s latest award achievement to the dedication of its people, who are strongly committed to creating a safe, healthy and sustainable environment not only for themselves and the company but also for their customers and communities.

The PMHA serves to honour the contributions of companies that have demonstrated their commitment to sustainability and environmental protection. Award winners are recognised as role models for business and industry’s environmental performance and excellence.
