Trienekens Sarawak bags Laboratory Excellence Award

Trienekens (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd, the operating company for Sarawak’s Integrated Waste Management System (IWMS), is pleased to announce that is has recently won the IKM Laboratory Excellence Award for 2023. This marks the company’s 9th win since 2015. The award was given in recognition of the company’s commitment to providing high-quality and competent laboratory testing services that comply with local legislation, particularly in the areas of health, safety and the environment.

Trienekens Group CEO, Stephen Chin expressed his gratitude and credited the company’s accomplishment to the dedication and professionalism of its team members upon receiving the award. He stated that the award is an honourable recognition of the laboratory’s commitment to providing efficient and high-quality services, which has enabled customers to obtain reliable, accurate and confidential results.

Furthermore, Chin highlighted that the company is committed to streamlining and optimising its operations to deliver greater value to its customers. He emphasised that Trienekens aims to set new benchmarks in the industry by remaining steadfast in its efforts to provide high-quality services and by keeping customer satisfaction a top priority. Chin also thanked the State Government for the continued trust and support, spurring the company to greater achievements.

The Malaysian Institute of Chemistry recently hosted the IKM Laboratory Excellence Award event to recognise laboratories that have achieved competency in analytical work. The award was first introduced in 1986 as the IKM Laboratory Accreditation Award and was later renamed to IKM Quality Award in 1994. It was subsequently renamed as the IKM Laboratory Excellence Award in 2001.

During the award ceremony held at Selangor’s One World Hotel, Trienekens’ Process Chemist Nurul Afina Binti Sumed was honoured to accept the award on behalf of the company. The award was presented by ChM Halimah Binti Abdul Rahim, Registrar of IKM Council.
