KUCHING: Trienekens (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd recently won two Outstanding Vendor Award (OVA) from Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS) subsidiaries, PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd and Malaysia LNG Sdn Bhd, for its exceptional performance and delivery in 2014.
The integrated waste management company was among the 23 local and international oil and gas service companies who received the OVA (non-plant services) from PETRONAS Carigali President, who is also PETRONAS Senior Vice President (Upstream Malaysia), Datuk Mohd Anuar Taib in a ceremony held at Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS on April 21.
Trienekens also received the OVA (non-plant services) from Malaysia LNG during a special PETRONAS OVA presentation ceremony officiated by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem in Kuching on April 24.
The award is a recognition accorded by PETRONAS to its contractors for their exemplary performance in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), reliability, responsiveness and respectability.
In thanking PETRONAS for the award, Trienekens (Sarawak) Executive Chairman, Jurgen Pickenhagen said: “We are deeply honoured to receive these awards, especially as it signifies a joint achievement for all our staff. This has surely boosted the morale of our team members and we look forward to working closer with PETRONAS to deliver even higher standards of waste management services.”
Trienekens (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd is the operating company of the Integrated Solid Waste Management System (ISWMS) in Sarawak, a holistic environmental management system that integrates the process of collection, transportation and disposal of both municipal and hazardous waste using modern environmental technology. Besides providing municipal waste management services for Kuching City’s three largest local councils, Trienekens is also the service provider for hazardous waste management covering the whole of East Malaysia, including the Federal Territory of Labuan.
