“My City, My Home, Clean and Green” Bin Centre Wall Mural Painting Competition by Padawan Municipal Council (MPP)

Results of the “My City, My Home, Clean and Green” bin centre wall mural painting competition organised by Majlis Perbandaran Padawan (MPP) together with Trienekens and MJC City Development Sdn Bhd were announced on Friday, 27 May 2022 at a prize presentation ceremony graced by Sarawak Deputy Premier and Minister for Public Health, Housing and Local Government, YB Dato Sri Professor Dr Sim Kui Hian. Held at Papillion Street Mall, MJC Batu Kawah New Township, the ceremony witnessed the presentation of prizes and certificates to the top five and four consolation prize winners.

The competition aimed to improve and beautify the bin centres at MJC Batu Kawah New Township as well as to promote the message of clean, healthy and sustainable living in Kuching city. Trienekens Group Chief Executive Officer, Stephen Chin said that the competition was a great way to infuse the message of environmental protection with creative arts, and thanked the organising committee and judges for their hard work and support in making the event a success.

“Educating and raising the awareness of the public about sustainable living and clean environment has always been an important goal in our business operations. Delivering these messages through works of art is a great way to reach out to the communities and we are indeed honoured to be working with MPP and MJC in this project,” he added.

Also present were Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Public Health, Housing and Local Government, Datu Antonio Kahti Galis; MPP Chairman YB Ir. Lo Khere Chiang; MPP Deputy Chairman and the competition’s Organising Committee Chairman, Cr. Dato’ Ahmad bin Dato’ Sri Haji Ibrahim and MJC Director Raymond Sim.
