The KIWMP is equipped with a central storage facility for scheduled waste which can store up to 10,000 metric tonnes of scheduled waste. Waste is stored in this facility prior to disposal, and is maintained via a waste management database system, called Reception Inventory Management (RIM). Information on the waste received is then recorded based on waste types.
