Additional waste collection services for Bintulu during Gawai
KUCHING: Trienekens Bintulu Branch announces that it will carry out additional waste collection services in several ‘hot-spot’ locations in Bintulu on the eve of the Gawai Dayak festival, 31 May 2011 (Tuesday) starting from 8pm onwards. Residents living in these areas are reminded to wheel out their bin early to avoid missed collection. The collection services in these areas will resume on first (1st June) and second (2nd June) day of Gawai.
“The additional collection is to accommodate increasing waste during the 2-day public holidays. We hope residents can take advantage of this added services as well as ensure that their surrounding remain clean and free from unsightly waste,” explained Mr. Thaddeus Wong, the Branch Manager of Trienekens (Sarawak) Sdn. Bhd, Bintulu.
The hot-spot areas are Tmn Bandar Jaya, Tmn Bamboo, RPR Kidurong Phase 1,2,3,4, Sg. Plan Phase 1,2,3,4 and Flats, RPR Sebiyu, RPR Sebiew (SPPS B.) Other residential areas unaffected by this change will be serviced according to the usual collection day.
Residents are also reminded to keep their wastes securely inside a garbage bag before disposing of their waste properly into the wheel bin. The bins should also be kept closed at all times to prevent pests or rainwater from seeping into the wastes. Residents are also advised not to dispose of their festive waste indiscriminately as this irresponsible act is an offence under the Natural Resources Environment Board Ordinance.
Residents are encouraged to call Trienekens’ Bintulu Customer Care and Hotline at 086-253959 should they require further clarifications regarding their waste collection schedules during this period.
