Waste Collection Day Temporarily Changed

Certain residential areas under the DBKU where waste collection are fixed on Mondays will temporarily be changed and carried out on 17 (Saturday) and 20 (Tuesday) February 2007. There will be no collection on Monday, 18 February 2007.

“The changes are due to some minor adjustments to accommodate the two days of Chinese New Year public holiday,” explains Mr. Elvin Wee, the Logistics and Services Manager of Trienekens (Sarawak) Sdn. Bhd. The collection schedule shall resume its normal frequency after 20 February 2007.

Residents affected by the change are advised to wheel out their bins in the evening before the scheduled collection day. They are also advised to pack any additional waste securely inside a garbage bag and especially with the rainy season, to keep the lid of the wheel bin closed at all times to avoid rainwater from seeping into their waste.

Residents experiencing any problems with their collection during this period are advised to call Trienekens’ Kuching Hotline at 082-422515.
