Trienekens Team Donates Blood

Trienekens (Sarawak) Sdn. Bhd.’s Quality, Health, Safety & Environment department recently organized a blood donation drive, where more than 30 Trienekens staff donated blood to the Malaysian Red Cross Society Kuching Chapter through the Normah Medical Centre blood bank.

Statistics show that every 5 seconds someone in Malaysia needs blood, whether it is due to diseases such as cancer, car accidents or burns – one pint of blood can help save several people. Said Trienekens’ Executive Chairman Jurgen Pickenhagen, “Donating blood is a noble deed and all donors should be commended for showing their concern for the society.”

“As a company running a public-service business, we are fully aware of our social responsibilities and associate ourselves closely with missions to jointly build, develop and strengthen the community we operate in. We carry the responsibility for our customers, for our environment and for each other,” he added.

The event was one of the many community activities carried out under the Trienekens’ corporate social responsibility event calendar, which above all aims to foster a sense of care and responsibility towards the community by all Trienekens employees.
