SAFE AND EFFICIENT...Trienekens' box van liscensed, designed and equipped to safely transport clinical waste from hospitals and clinics in Kuching City.

Kuching – Trienekens (Sarawak) Sdn. Bhd., the waste management company responsible for the collection and transportation of municipal and scheduled hazardous waste, is now offering the management of clinical waste as its latest addition to the range of services.

Trienekens’ clinical waste service packages offer comprehensive and efficient waste management solutions for healthcare providers and organizations, from hospitals to private clinics. As for all other services, Trienekens’ is offering the generators of clinical waste a one-stop solution covering all areas from supply of receptacles to collection, transportation and disposal.

“Trienekens is registered with the Department of Environment and has been fully licensed by all respective agencies to collect, transport and dispose of clinical waste. With all equipment, facilities and a trained workforce in place, we are able to extend our services to waste generators in the healthcare industry and meet the requirements of the large hospitals on the one hand and small private clinics on the other hand,” announced the Managing Director of Trienekens (Sarawak) Sdn. Bhd., Mr. Joerg Domroes.

“In the past, much of the wastes were disposed of along with municipal waste due to the lack of options. Due to the hazardous nature of this waste which contains human tissue, blood, bacteria and – naturally – even pathogens, this practice poses great risk to the society as pathogens can spread easily, by air or water or direct contact of animals or humans with the waste. Trienekens has invested into a comprehensive system to offer hospitals and clinics in the city a safe and legally compliant disposal route, thus eliminating the risks typically related this type of waste. Proper handling, safe storage at point of generation, licensed transportation and timely disposal of this very critical type of waste is ensured as all required resources coupled with a regulated process are in place,” said Mr. Domroes.

Hospitals, clinics and other healthcare providers will benefit from the availability of integrated service packages as they no longer have to worry about the complexities in documentation, transportation and disposal or the purchase of proper receptacles which were typically only available in bulk. Instead, Trienekens will handle all necessary aspects from the point of generation to the final disposal at the Kuching Integrated Waste Management Park. Different service packages to meet the differing needs of hospitals and private clinics are also available.

Trienekens currently plans to introduce its clinical waste management services to the private hospitals, clinics, medical laboratories, veterinary clinics and other relevant healthcare institutions in Kuching, while discussing the option to extend the services to other areas in the State with the relevant authorities.
