Temporary Change of Waste Collection Schedule

Kuching:- In connection with the upcoming Gawai Harvest Festival, there will be no waste collection services for the following selected areas under the DBKU & MBKS jurisdictions on 2nd June 2007. The waste collection for these areas will instead be brought forward by one day in advance starting from 27 May (Sunday) until 1 June (Friday).
“This temporary change is necessary to accommodate the two days Gawai Public Holidays,” explained Mr. Elvin Wee, the Logistics & Services Manager of Trienekens (Sarawak) Sdn. Bhd.
Residential Areas
Temporary Collection Days: 27th & 30th May 2007 (Sunday & Wednesday)
Normal Collection Days: 4th & 7th June 2007 (Monday & Thursday)
Family Park, Taman Puteri, Mardi, Kampung Santubong, Kampung Buntal, Kampung Sg. Lumut/Loba, Kampung Tabuan Melayu, Kampung Sg. Tabuan Lot, Tabuan Hilir, Foochow Road Market & Commercial Shoplots
Temporary Collection Days: 28th & 31 May 2007 ((Monday & Thursday)
Normal Collection Days: 5th & 8th June 2007 (Tuesday & Friday)
Bandar Semariang Commercial, Bandar Semariang Phase 1, SK Bandar Baru Semariang, Taman Indah, Kampung Rampangi Phase 1, SK Rampangi, Kampung Hj Drahman, Kampung Tabuan Melayu, Kampung Sg. Tabuan Lot, Tabuan Hilir
Temporary Collection Days: 29th May & 1st June 2007 (Tuesday & Friday)
Normal Collection Days: 6th & 9th June 2007 (Wednesday & Saturday)
Taman Sukma, Sukma Ria, SPPS HQ, Sultan Tengah Main Road, Kampung Tabuan Melayu, Kampung Sg. Tabuan Lot, Tabuan Hilir
Residents affected by the changes are advised to wheel out their bins early in the evening prior to the day of collection. The collection services in the affected areas will be back to its normal frequency after 3rd June 2007.
Residents are encouraged to call Trienekens’ Kuching Customer Care and Hotline at 082-612 300 should they require further clarifications regarding their waste collection schedules during this period.
