KEJORA Visits Integrated Waste Management Plant in Mambong

A group of 15 officers from the Johor Tenggara Town Board (KEJORA) led by Dewan Bandaraya Kuching Utara (DBKU) paid a working visit to the Kuching Integrated Waste Management Park (KIWMP) located in Mambong last Friday.

WORKING VISIT...KEJORA officers led with Trienekens staff at the end of the visit
The main aim of the visit is to learn about the background and operations of the integrated waste management system implemented in the Kuching City introduced by the State Government. The team was briefed by Trienekens staff about the different components of the system particularly on municipal waste collection methods and importance of landfilling and leachate treatment, which is critical in any waste disposal process to ensure a safe, clean and uncontaminated environment for the public.
KEJORA is one of the statutory agencies under the Ministry of Rural and Territorial Development, Johor and it is responsible for the general economic and social development of areas located south east of the state. The 3-day working visit to DBKU and Trienekens were led by KEJORA’s Assistant General Manager, Tuan Haji Zainal Abidin bin Haji Ali.
