Monday, 28/04/2008, Kuching

HEALTHY START: Staff and family begin the day with morning exercise.
Music blasting in the air, staff playing games, clown performing dance and tricks and children making colourful cards for their mothers in anticipation of coming Mother’s Day.
For the usually quiet truck shade area, this scene was indeed out of the ordinary as Trienekens Head Office and Depot premise was transformed into small carnival site in celebration of the company’s first ever Family Day last Sunday. About 600 staff and families of Trienekens (Sarawak) Sdn. Bhd. turned up to participate in a day of fun-filled activities.
In his welcoming remark, Trienekens Managing Director, Mr. Gerhard Aulbert, welcomed and thanked all staff and family for coming to the first ever event.

MOTHER'S DAY: Children of Trienekens' staff putting in their best effort to come up with the most creative Mother's Day card.
“The main objectives are to forge closer ties with one another and provide the opportunity for family members to visit the new office and learn about the workplace of their loved ones,” said Mr. Aulbert. The company moved to the premise in Sungai Tapang after it was completed in April 2007.
The event was also held especially in honour of all Trienekens’ staff who have worked hard both in the operations and management level. Four employees received the Best Employee of the Year Award 2007 representing the Head Office (Ms Jong Kuei Choo), Logistics and Services (Mr. Jackwild ak Durah), the Kuching Integrated Waste Management Park (KIWMP), Mambong (Mr. Mohd Kamarul Khan bin Abdullah) and Overall (Ms Angelica Lawrence Juh) in recognition of their significant contributions and excellent performance throughout last year.

CLOWN AROUND: Uncle Tom Tom the Clown making a sculpture balloons alongside some magic tricks.
In addition to the award presentations, various games and activities were also lined out during the event. Some of them included a morning group aerobic exercise, telematch competition for men, ladies, children and couples. Also included were a card-making contest for children and booth games with food, drinks and ice creams were also served continuously throughout the half day activity. Uncle Tom Tom the clown made a surprise appearance right before the end of the programme entertaining children with his magic tricks and dance routines.
