Additional Waste Collection Services & Bins for CNY Spring Cleaning

RoRo 16cbm containers suitable for all kind of domestic wastes

Kuching – Trienekens (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd today revealed their action plan for the upcoming Chinese New Year Cleaning Campaign in preparation for the excessive wastes generated from residents’ spring-cleaning and increased shopping activities around this time.

“Trienekens will temporarily allocate additional 18 units of 1,000 litre bins, 22 units of 660l MGB and 10 units of RoRo containers at the following “hot-spot” areas around Kuching City,” announced Mr. Elvin Wee, Logistics Manager of Trienekens (Sarawak) Sdn. Bhd.

With effect from 9 January 2006 to 26 January 2006 the following locations will be equipped with MGB bins while RoRo containers will be sent on 19 January 2006:

Residents are advised to dispose of their Chinese New Year spring cleaning and extra household wastes at least 2-3 weeks in advance before the celebration to avoid last minutes requests. They are urged to dispose of their additional wastes into these additional wheel bins as described above, which will be collected six times a week.

They are advised also to pack all wastes in proper garbage bags. Additional wastes, which are bulky and cannot fit into the wheel bin, should also be tied-up in proper garbage bags and placed next to the wheel bin and followed by calling Trienekens Hotline at 082-422515 for a scheduled collection by specialized waste truck.

In addition to the provision of extra bins, Trienekens’ waste trucks will be working on double shifts till 2:00 am on Chinese New Year Eve (28 January 2006).
